Message from the Chairman and President

Chemir’s mission is to provide high quality, timely, and personalized analytical and consulting services to various chemical, and biotechnology markets including but not limited to:

  • Paints and Coatings
  • Polymers, Plastics and Packaging
  • Personal Care and Consumer Products
  • Food and Beverages
  • Specialty Chemicals
  • Related chemical market sectors including Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers, Semiconductors, Aerospace and Building Materials

It is a team effort that cannot be done alone.  Effective personnel policies and practices are important to the company and its employees, because they establish the “Rules” necessary for the success of both.

The following describes the general principles and rules of employment at Chemir Analytical Services and affiliated companies.

Some basic expectations that are important to Chemir’s success are:

  • Chemir Management must manage the company in a responsible, effective, and efficient manner.
  • Each employee must bring his or her professionalism, intelligence, knowledge, common sense, cooperation, flexibility, and “can-do” attitude to work every day.
  • We must treat each other with respect, fairness, honesty, and trust.
  • Employees must communicate openly and honestly.  Don’t be afraid to ask questions, and don’t be afraid to say, “I don’t know.”
  • Certain issues allow for no compromise.

Things that I insist upon are:

  • All business must be conducted within the requirements, spirit, and intent of the law.
  • Established safety procedures must be followed.
  • The quality and integrity of our work must never knowingly be compromised.
  • You have the right to know what is expected from you in your job.  Your supervisor and the company in general will clarify these expectations.  However, it should not be necessary, in most cases, to have them spelled out in minute detail.
  • Continuous improvement in company performance and individual performance is always possible.  Individual performance must relate to company goals and needs.
  • Employees should receive training in their jobs, whether they are a new employee or an experienced employee.

Thank you for your contributions to the continued success of Chemir.

            Sincerely,

Shri Thanedar, Ph.D.            Dave Riggs, BS, PE
